NOVACES Awarded Navy Medicine Contract
Lean Six Sigma deployment support to be provided for BUMED.
New Orleans: November 5, 2007 – NOVACES, a premier provider of today’s most powerful implementations of Lean Six Sigma (LSS), announced today it was awarded a contract by the Navy Medical Logistics Command to support the deployment of Lean Six Sigma which is designed to evaluate and enhance Navy Medicine’s business process and ultimately improve patient healthcare. Under this contract, NOVACES will support the deployment of LSS throughout Navy Medicine.
NOVACES will focus its initial efforts on Navy Medicine’s four major Echelon III Commands: Navy Medicine East, Portsmouth, VA; Navy Medicine National Capital Area, Bethesda, MD; Navy Medicine West, San Diego, CA; and Navy Medicine Support Command, Jacksonville, FL. The company will guide the implementation of a change management program across all organizational levels within and under each Echelon III Command.
The program represents a continuation of an aggressive transformation effort at the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) that began two years ago. This phase of the LSS implementation plan represents the next step to aligning the Echelon III Commands to a culture of continuous process improvement comprising a disciplined framework to raise even higher the efficiency of the healthcare delivery while improving its high quality.
