NOVACES Awarded SeaPort-e Contract by the U.S. Navy
The defense contractor has been awarded the Indefinite Delivery, Indefine Quantity (IDIQ) contract to compete for task orders for professional services related to Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), Lean Six Sigma, performance management, program and project management, analysis, and training under the SeaPort Enhanced acquisition program.
New Orleans, LA (PRWeb) August 9, 2010 -- NOVACES, a leading management consulting firm that provides performance improvement and program management services to public sector organizations and the Department of Defense (DoD), announced today that it was awarded an IDIQ contract for the Navy’s SeaPort Enhanced acquisition program.
Under the SeaPort-e program, contractors provide services in 22 functional areas, including research and development, system engineering, modeling and simulation, information system development and information assurance. The acquisition services procured through this program are intended to further the Navy’s Seapower 21 objective to increase efficiency and allows for tailoring services according to the needs of geographically dispersed organizations with significantly diverse product area requirements and missions.
“We are very excited at the opportunity to provide our Navy client with specialized capabilities in performance management and continuous process improvement through the SeaPort-e program,” said Tommy Houston, who serves as Vice President of Public Sector Services for NOVACES. The company currently supports various Navy organizations including services for Naval Air Systems Command, the Marine Corps, and Navy Medicine.
